HONORING MATT GLIEBE
Matt admirably served as the Chairman of the Board from 2010-2017, remaining on the Board until 2023. In his time as Chair, the Foundation grew from an idea to an organization serving more than 10,000 kids a year across 15 states.
Matt attended Skyline High School in Oakland. Playing football for the legendary John Beam, he saw how a caring adult mentor could play a transformational role in the lives of student-athletes. In his time at the NFL, he was tasked with helping grow the game through his role in the Youth Football Department.
When the AthLife Foundation was formed, Matt was tapped as our first Board Chair due to his experiences, along with his overall passion and heart for wanting to help kids.
